A little bit late in showing you this, but summer in Nelson has finally arrived with vengeance. Lovely hot days at the beach, cricket in the evening or walks around the neighborhood. Just lovely. All of that is distracting me from getting work done!
I was asked by a friend to make a card for her. Well what an honor to make a card for the New Years Queens Service Awards recipient. This Award was to Devon McLean for his contribution to Conservation. Crimson Purple was set up to save the Pohutukawa & Rata trees. Devon is also the Project Manager for Janszoon Project which hopes to transform the ecological heart of the Able Tasman. My daughter was lucky enough to help release the Karariki (yellow-crowned parakeet) into the Able Tasman which she really enjoyed.
Because of Devon's involvement in Crimson Purple, I fussy cut around some Pohutukawa pictures. I included the Karariki that shows also his involvement in the Janszoon Project and added some Green Tara leaves for dimension. The top left hand bird is on foam tape (again for dimension) and behind the words is Green Organza Ribbon. Really nice to be creating again.
