Teacher Gifts

Gosh doesn't time march on quickly.
Below are Presents for my daughter's teachers.
This being her last year at primary, moving onto Intermediate next year.

Maya Road Wooden Spools & Star Trinket Pin.
Green Tara glitter mesh & ribbon.
Pearl Snowflakes and glitter on top of the spools.
Nice and easy, very effective.

Paige made the card and we added a button tree.
They were well received.  Nice to give handmade presents.

Card & Tag

I've had this picture for ages and always thought it would make a nice card.  I added Green Tara leaves, new metal skeleton leaves and Maya Road Green Leaf pin and tucked them under the flower I made.  Rolled the centre from cardstock and added Green Tara lace and brown satin to the bottom of the card.  Got the old "S" stamp from an antique dealer and have used it for "Suzanne"

This is the close up detail of the flower from Card

I made the tag to match the card using Green Tara leaves and roses, seam binding and heart key charm.  Used the same picture for the background and Bazzill Cardstock for the base.  Hope my sister likes her Birthday Card and Tag which will be attached to a small bucket of scrapbooking embellishments.

Birthday Cards

I often get asked if I do much Scrapbooking.
Unfortunately I just seem to be doing the last minute birthday cards and presents.  It's great to be creative and maybe with the cooler weather, I will find more time.

Here's a card I made for my nephew using the Die-namics Stacking Star die.
This can easily be done with Balloons or Hearts as well.

A birthday present for a my daughter's 10 year old friend.
I covered a jotter pad with cardstock, patterned paper, frame with glitter butterfly on foam tape.

Popped it into a cellophane bag with Pencil, Flowerpot Rubber
& Big Eraser (in the back) from Smiggles.

These are great little gifts that can be made to favorite colours.

What's in the box?

Flowers, lots of flowers.
Top up of what Scrap Box NZ already have,
 but also new ones too.

Mini Flowers 1.5cm with little stamens in them.

Tim Holtz Idea-ology & Prima Marketing

Two wonderful well known brands in the scrapbooking industry, now on the shelves at Scrap Box NZ.  I mentioned in the newsletter before Christmas, that I hope to bring you Tim Holtz and more of Prima products.  Well I've had fun sourcing them and now they have arrived.  I've added them to the great range of products that Scrap Box NZ carry.

Tim Holtz has joined together with some companies that he designs for - Ranger & Sizzix.  When you are looking for his products you will find them under - Embellishments - Tim Holtz or Ranger Mini Distress Ink and also Sizzix Embossing Folders with his Alterations Texture Fades folders.
Enter his name in the Advance Search & all his products that Scrap Box NZ are currently stock will come up.

Prima Marketing are also a favorite brand that Scrap Box NZ is adding too. SoonI'll be entering the new products that have arrived, including Julie Nutting's dolls(stamps & wooden).  Pop over to the shop and check out what's arriving.

New Year's Dreams

A little bit late in showing you this, but summer in Nelson has finally arrived with vengeance. Lovely hot days at the beach, cricket in the evening or walks around the neighborhood.  Just lovely.  All of that is distracting me from getting work done!

I was asked by a friend to make a card for her.  Well what an honor to make a card for the New Years Queens Service Awards recipient.  This Award was to Devon McLean for his contribution to Conservation.  Crimson Purple was set up to save the Pohutukawa & Rata trees.  Devon is also the Project Manager for Janszoon Project which hopes to transform the ecological heart of the Able Tasman.  My daughter was lucky enough to help release the Karariki (yellow-crowned parakeet) into the Able Tasman which she really enjoyed.

Because of Devon's involvement in Crimson Purple, I fussy cut around some Pohutukawa pictures.  I included the Karariki that shows also his involvement in the Janszoon Project and added some Green Tara leaves for dimension.  The top left hand bird is on foam tape (again for dimension) and behind the words is Green Organza Ribbon.  Really nice to be creating again.
