Tomorrow is ...

NATIONAL SCRAPBOOKING DAY!

Hope you will all find some time to start, add to or finish a layout. You will also find that Saturday brings hopefully a sleep-in (ha ha). The start of a new month and one in which you will need to keep popping into Scrap Box NZ's shop to take advantage of some great specials.

The middle of April was my birthday and that also meant it was a year since I took over Scrap Box NZ. Time really does fly and especially when you are having fun. I've really enjoyed my 1st year of Scrap Box NZ and hope you have all enjoyed the products, specials and challenges that we have brought your way.

Have a great weekend

Wedding Bells !!!

Not mine! That was a long time ago!
My husband and I are off to Waiheke Island, Auckland
for the weekend to attend my neices wedding.
I thought I'd share the card I made.

I've used Bazzill Cardstock - Raven. Vellum and 8mm black brads. The paper is My Minds Eye from the Lush Collection. I took the photo on a shelf so there is a bit of shadow but the Red Damask paper is a deep red and is flocked. The Lush Collection is beautiful and Scrap Box NZ carries four colours in the paper range. Some of them are flocked and the others are double sided. Just beautiful and great value for a flocked paper at $2.20 each and the double sided are $2.00 each.

Pheeew...

...what a crazy couple of weeks. I too have been missing in action, but there has just been sooooo much on.

BUT.....

back to the challenges: So your challenge this time is to create a layout of any shape or size using Monochromatic colours. WHAT!!! I here you say... is monochromatic. The definition of monochromatic colours according to Wikipedia are all the colours (tints, tones and shades) of a single hue.

So here is an example of a monochromatic colour scheme.

You have until midnight Sunday May 2nd to email your creations to fiona@scrapboxnz.com

Good luck and I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Have a great week.

We're back ...

Sorry I haven't posted anything for a while, but had an unexpected trip to hospital and then Easter, School Holidays and family life in general. Back into it now though. Julia has been away sunning herself on the Sunshine Coast of Australia and she too has come back refreshed and ready to set you all another challenge - check that out on Monday.

I've had a catchup with the levels of cardstock, so now you will find your favourites back on the shelf. Kraft, Bazzill White, Raven and others all ready for School Holiday layouts. I'll be busy over the next week entering new products so keep a look out for some lovely new lace and brads.

Enjoy your weekend

Easter

Hope you've all had a great Easter. My daughter Brooke and I spent Easter Sunday at the Mapua Easter Fair. This is an annual fundraiser for the Mapua School and Playcentre, it's pretty big with over 300 stalls. Lots of local and holiday makers enjoyed a fine day and Brooke & I went home exhausted.

This is me (Fiona) - caught unawares that I was being photographed.

Some of the stock we took over.

A shot of some of the stalls in the background.

Hope you all enjoy the school holidays and maybe get some time for some scrapbooking.
