Fantastic - four totally different cards some of them are from people who don't normally enter my challenges (or don't do cards).  Thanks so much to you all.  These are great!

Will be back in a couple of days to announce the winner - until then Good Luck!

I've been creating

I found some time for creating the other day and came up with the card below.  It was for a friends birthday who loves flowers, so I have fun making a feminine card.  Got out my Martha Stewart Doily Edger and Sewing Machine.  The base of the card is a cut down Manila folder, which I was going to make into a pocket, until my sewing let me down.  So I cut off the side and added the pink (Chablis) as the back cover.

Maya Road Satin & Lace Ribbon and Dies through the cuttlebug created the flower.  Green Tara double satin ribbon made the flower centre and I just had to finish it off with a Maya Road Trinket Pin - Antique Pearl.  Made a little label with her date on, which was stamped with the Smash Date Stamper.  Just finished it off!

Running out of time ..

Today apparently is the "Shortest Day", so I hope you all accomplish everything you want with less time in your day.  You are guarantee more time for sleep tonight though!

I've been busing helping out at school, glue gunning artwork together.  Now it's time to get some things done around the house and a newsletter out for Scrap Box NZ.

Hope your week has gone well!

Economy Challenge!

Here's you monthly layout challenge!  Something future generations will love to read about and look back on.

The Economy!  Make a 12 x 12 layout about the economy today.  You decide on the title "The Economy" is just the theme of the challenge.  Ideas of things to include - today's date, prices of things like Milk, Bread, Eggs, Petrol, Interest Rates, price of your first house, car, TV.  Anything you think people would be interested in looking at the price difference in say 20 - 30 years time.  Maybe you could include a Supermarket Docket or Receipt from something you brought.  List what prices you paid for scrapbooking products!

I can remember when Popsicles were 12c, Boston Buns were 50c, you could cash in glass fizzy bottles for 5c and my 10 speed bike cost me $120.00 second hand.   I had to save months to pay for it.

Would love more to be involved in the challenges, so give it a go and encourage others.  Please have your completed layout emailed to fiona@scrapboxnz.com by midnight Sunday 1st July 2012.
