Challenge Winner !!!

Congratulations Brenda

Love the chipboard people, and just by looking at the layout I'm sure it would start a conversation and "memories" about days at school. Well done!

Thanks too to everyone else who submitted a layout - I love the stories that come with them. The first layout is three sisters (I can relate to that as I am one of three girls) and the last layout is the students in Christchurch "going home", back to their school after sharing resources and buildings after the earthquake.

Buttons !!!

No theme this time for your fortnightly challenge, just to include an embellishment. Well at least 12 of them - buttons! Use them as boarders, centre of flowers, make a circle out of them, put them together as a cluster, use different colours, shapes and sizes or just have one colour. It's all up to you but your layout must include as least 12 buttons.

Have fun creating, photographing and emailing your finished layout to fiona@scrapboxnz.com by midnight on Sunday 9th October 2011. A choice of $20 voucher or a Martha Stewart classic punch.

Challenge entries for "School Days" layouts

The layouts are great and didn't we have fun at school - I must say I enjoyed my Primary days more than the rest. Thanks to all that have entered - Good Luck!

Must fly, I am back to school myself now to help with the American Parade that Paige's school is involved in. That's 550 students, year 0 to year 6, parading down Queen Street, Richmond, Nelson. The juniors have star hats they have made, middles are in stripes and seniors in red, white & blue. From an aerial shot the whole school looks like the American Flag. Nelson is hosting the American Rugby team and they play here against Italy tomorrow night.

The All Blacks did well on Saturday night, but for this week I'll back the American's - Go USA!!!

Busy week - how about you?

This past week has gone so fast and been packed with heaps of things to do. Can't believe that tomorrow will be the last day of the fortnightly challenge. You still have till midnight Sunday to put together the finishing touches of your "school days" layout, photograph and email them to fiona@scrapboxnz.com.

I came home from my sister's house with a bag fill of Scrap Booking mags and coz today has been filled with the girls friends around, it has given me a few moments to have a look through some of them, while they played on the local playground.

I came across this quote which I think really applied to last week - maybe I needed the pause button to catch my breath.

"In life, there is no pause button, no rewind, and definitely no replay" - Unknown

These papers from My Minds Eye are absolutely gorgeous. Glitter detail in Christmas red and lovely designs for both Scrap Booking layouts and cards. They are walking out the door, be in quick before they sell out.

Winner of "Favourite Place"

is Amy Gibbons

Congratulations Amy on winning this challenge. Love the flowers and pearls, reminds you of the shells and treasure washed up by the sea. The beach is always a nice place to go and we are very lucky in New Zealand to have so many near by.

Could you email me, fiona@scrapboxnz.com and I'll give you details of your win.

Next fortnightly challenge - do you want to join in?

This challenge is to create a 12 x 12 layout about "school days". That is what the layout needs to be about, but you don't have to use "school days" as your title. You have until midnight Sunday 25th September 2011 to email you finished layouts to fiona@scrapboxnz.com .

Have fun remembering and creating about your school days.

Challenge entries ...

The brief was to create a 12 x 12 layout about your favourite place. Be nice to be at any of these locations or lying around like puss in the last layout.

Thanks to you all for entering - Good luck! I'll be back later in the day with your next fortnightly challenge.

Teresa Collins

Fiona had asked me a wee while ago if I wanted to take some Teresa Collins Sports Edition II papers. The background (grid design), the date label and the grey pp (title) are from this range. The 6 petal flowers http://www.scrapboxnz.co.nz/shop/product_info.php?products_id=2789 make a nice change and the dinky little ladybird is fun!

Other Scrap Box NZ products used: Bazzill cardstock, Basic Grey pp, Kaisercraft pearls, Martha Stewart border punch, ribbon, chipboard butterflies, glimmermist, Maya Road trinket pin.

Happy weekend!

Proud to be Kiwi !

Showcasing New Zealand to the World.

Backing the All blacks - all the way!!!

Guess what her present was ?

We had to give Brooke her present first and then the card I made for her below after. Obviously the card would have given the present away.

I had lots of fun making this and I knew it was going to be appreciated. Googled searched for a picture of the same phone and enlarged them. Had to go with purple and lime green, her colours at the moment. Used Bazzill Cardstock - Parakeet & Pansy, Green Tara flower, Martha Stewart Starburst Punch, Maya Road Trinket Pin and finished with a spiral wound flower and sticklers to give some glitter.

Happy 12th Birthday to Brooke
