I used the letters of my sons name, but photos or patterned paper and embellies would work equally as well. 
Saw a neat idea over on the Maya Road Design Team blog, using two of the albums together to make a 'candy train'. This would be great for a child's birthday party. http://mayaroad.typepad.com/dt/2009/08/train.html
