Layout Sketch Challenge Entries

Above was the sketch to work from and below are three wonderful layouts.  Remember with sketches they just give you a foundation to work with.  A starting point to get you going.  Change them around a bit to suit your photo's and subject.  Thank you to you three wonderful ladies for being part of this sketch challenge.

If you haven't already got your card together for the card challenge that finishes on Wednesday at Midnight, you might be able to squeeze in and get it finished.

Good Luck to the sketch challenges, I'll be back near the end of the week to announce the winner!

Finishing Touches

Hope you've just got the finishing touches to do on your layouts for the Sketch Challenge.  This finishes tomorrow midnight (got my dates mixed up) so you have one more day.  Finish them off and get them photographed and emailed to me fiona@scrapboxnz.com.  Looking forward to seeing your take on the Sketch!

Hope your weekend is going well.

Family Layout

That little sneak preview was to reveal this below:

Another wonderful layout by Sally and a gorgeous photo captured by Steve Hussey.  Products used:  Basic Grey - Kissing Booth - Kiss paper for the background, Webster's Pages - Sunday Picnic - Poppy Fields & Joy Ride.  Green Tara flower & leaf.  Maya Road Kraft Ticket.  Silhouette Cameo used to cut shapes and others from Sally's stash.

Card challenge

I hope you are up for it.  Not a tricky one really - Make a card using only ONE piece of patterned paper, ONE punched border or shape and buttons (as many as you like).

Please email you finished card to fiona@scrapboxnz.com by midnight on the 30th May 2012.  That gives you a fortnight to dream up something special!

Good luck and have fun!

Happy Mother's Day

Hope everyone's having a lovely day.
Here's a wee sneak preview of a beautiful layout that Sally has done!  I thought it was a great one to share as it is all about family - Mother's Day is like that for me.  As I don't have my mum around any more, it's nice to share a day together as a family, just us!

Sally and I attended Trina McClune's classes yesterday held here in Nelson.  Sally did the layout class which she showed me what she had done - gorgeous! and I did the Smash Album in the afternoon.  It was so good to be creating something and I really enjoyed it.  Didn't get it all done at class, so kept doing bits last night and am really pleased with how it's turned out.  Just need to add some photo's and journalling - will share soon!

Entries for the card challenge

I did get three entries for the card challenge.  But unfortunately received this one from Iemke the next day.  I wanted to share it though because as you can see, she has done a wonderful job.

The scalloped circle in white is a great contrast to the yellow and makes the flower stand out.  A nice fresh card.  Thanks Iemke.

Card Challenge Winner-s

Well I just can't decide - too hard to choose one over the other as they are both amazing and different to each other.  Vicki and Jo, you've made this hard for me, so you are both awarded a $10 voucher.  Really appreciate your efforts and for being part of the card challenge.  Vicki's is the Blue card and Jo's the Pink.  Thank you.

Card Challenge Entries!

Would have like more entries, hey but people are busy and look at these two aren't they great.

Thanks to you both for entering.  They are both so different and can see lots of Scrap Box NZ products on them.  This is going to be hard, what do you think!  I will be back with my decision in the next couple of days.

Good Luck!
