This fortnightly challenge is ...

"My favourite Place"

That doesn't need to be the title, just the inspiration for making a 12 x 12 layout about your favourite place. Be it a country, city, island, beach or your own backyard, show us on your layout where you love to be.

My favourite place is ParaPara Beach in Golden Bay. We have a great bach we are able to use right on the beach and we always have a great time over there. Building up lots of memories and adventure there.

Please email your finished layouts to fiona@scrapboxnz.com by September 11th, 2011 and be in to win a Martha Stewart Punch.

Happy scrapping!

Father's Challenge!

Maybe Father's are a challenge! Only received these two wonderful layouts below. Top one is from Elaine and the bottom from Vicky. A huge thanks to you both for entering, but I can't choose one over the other. Therefore you both have a $10.00 voucher to spend at Scrap Box NZ. I'll email you both shortly with the details of your voucher.

Hope everyone has a great week lined up. I'll be back later in the day with another fortnightly challenge.

Like purple?

Sally here. Had fun with these Maya Road chippies. featured in 3 out of 4 of these cards. http://www.scrapboxnz.co.nz/shop/product_info.php?products_id=2694
It has been a refreshing change to work with purple- not a colour I lean towards. You?
The sizzix dragonfly (above) is a fun, versatile little guy! http://www.scrapboxnz.co.nz/shop/product_info.php?products_id=2739
For all the 3 chipboard shapes, I coloured them using ink (stamp pad), then glimmer misted the fence (irridescent gold), and added a coat of glitter to the trowel.
Scrap Box NZ products used: Pink Paislee, Teresa Collins (background) and Prima PP, Bazzill cardstock, Glimmer Mist, Sizzix dragonfly, Maya Road chipboard, Martha Stewart picket fence border punch, Kaisercraft pearls, Color Box Ink (edges), white trim.

Birthday Season has started !!!

Do you find that birthday's come in runs sometimes. This seems to be the start of the "birthday season" for us. My girls ended up going to 12 birthday parties between them for friends last year. Below was Paige's friends birthday card I made.

I used Imaginise glitter happy birthday paper from my stash (nearly run out of this one), on Bazzill "Bubblegum" cardstock, American Crafts Glitter Cardstock in Silver for the "M" & Bigger butterfly, cut "Maddie" with my Slice Machine and have used Martha Stewart 3n1 Butterfly Punch.

The butterfly is a diecut from Papertrey Ink with ribbon wrapped around it and a Maya Road Trinket Gem Pin inserted through it. Very girly !!! Most of the products are found at Scrap Box NZ.

A Birthday Tag

I've done it again, been meaning to put more on the blog and just got caught up with other things.

Below is a tag I made for my sister's birthday. Used Kraft cardstock as the base and added wrinkled ribbon & buttons from my stashed and used the Martha Stewart Lace Heart Edger and 3n1 Butterfly punches on Admiral cardstock. The wide lace is from Green Tara sold by Scrap Box NZ - just gorgeous.

Hope to share more birthday tags & cards later in the week. Happy scrapping!

What happened to Wednesday !!!

Sorry got all caught up with the shop and orders and also had my youngest home for three days sick. Just didn't get there yesterday to let you know who won the "Friends" challenge.

But really please to congratulate Brenda on the layout below. Loved the simplicity and clear spaces on the layout - and those mushrooms are just too cute!

I will email you Brenda with your voucher details. Hope everyone is having a great week and not loosing days like me. Tomorrow my eldest turns 12 and I have nothing sorted. A busy day ahead!

12 x 12 layout challenge conditions

With Fathers Day not far away, I thought Fathers would be a good subject. Celebrate your Dad!, your children's Dad or a Grandad. Suggestions would be to show what makes them special, things they do or share with you, traditions, fun and special moments.

Email your finished 12 x 12 layout to fiona@scrapboxnz.com by midnight on the 28th of August 2011 and be in to win a $20 voucher to spend at Scrap Box NZ.

Sketch challenge winner

Congratulations Heidi - love the layout, great interpretation of the sketch and the colours work well with the photo's. Heidi email fiona@scrapboxnz.com to receive the details of your $20.00 voucher. Thanks to Tanya and Elaine for submitting your entries.

The way you have all use the sketch in different ways, show how sketches can be changed around to suit your own style. Great that a sketch can be a starting point and you don't have to stick to the layout if something doesn't work for you.

Another Fortnightly Challenge!

This time round, a 12 x 12 layout titled "Friends". These can be big or little friends, young or old, best friends having fun, sharing stories and enjoying life. It's all about friends!

Email your completed layout to fiona@scrapboxnz.com no later than midnight on the 14th August 2011. Always a $20 voucher to be spent in store at Scrap Box NZ for the winning layout.

Have fun being creative - happy scrapping!
