Julia had trouble choosing a winner as all the entries are great. I'm amazed at how a challenge can be interpreted in so many ways. Not having a particular subject to work with produces different ideas for layouts too. Hope you all have your thinking caps on for the next challenge with "No Photo"!

Laser Cuts..

I have had the privilege of being able to 'play' with these wonderful little embellishments. They are versatile enough to use on layouts and cards. Use ink, paint, glimmermist on them, the possibilities are endless. If you are doing my classes and are booked into week 2 (mini canvas on a stand) you too will be using these. Check out the finished sample below for your home decor item.

I have also used papers from the Flutter Butter range by Bo Bunny.

Challenge No. 1 Entries ...

Well we have started off the challenges with some great entries as you can see below.

Challenge #2/2010...

is....to create a 12"x12" layout without photos. Lets see what you can come up with. For those of you who are doing my class, you will be doing this for class #3. Sound difficult? It's not really, the journaling you use can tell a lot about something, so think about that when you create your layout.

With all the advertising going on at the moment - you must know that Valentines Day is coming up. This doesn't have to be traditional, red rose, chocolate and being sweeped off your feet day (although we could all enjoy that sometimes) but just to show you love someone with a card and special words.

Not everyone celebrates Valentines Day and I think it's a bit like Mothers & Fathers Day, it should be shown with love at any time throughout the year.

I've put some papers, ribbons, & stamps together to show some different combinations that can be used for layouts or cards. Maybe you want to record what's special about your treasured someone or how you celebrate your February 14th.
