February Kit

I got the yummiest box of goodies earlier this month (and it would have been just that little bit earlier if the courier had remembered to leave his calling card!).

Gorgeous, gorgeous papers & embellishments & I loved putting this together.

Fabulous colours in this kit, gorgeous flowers, pearls, ribbon, rubons!! It's definetly a stunning little kit!!

A few Cards to share

Yesterday I made a few cards while the kids were playing. It's not often I get to create during the day so I made the most of it. Thought I would share 3 cards I made which I will send in for the card swap this month. All three are using Basic Grey's Urban Prairie papers.

BG Urban Priarie papers, Cuttlebug butterfly embossing/cutting folders, Prima and Making Memories flower, Kaisercraft bling, American Crafts ribbon and Stampin Up stamp.

Basic Grey Urban Priarie papers, Kaisercraft fozz felt, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Basic Grey rub on, Stampin Up and Fiskars punches.

Basic Grey Urban Prairie papers, Deluxe Designs chipboard square, Queen & Co felt, Prima flowers, Carolees Creations alpha stickers, Kaisercraft pearls and some organza ribbon.
Hope you're all having a great week, bye for now.

Sorry...

While I was having a play around with the graphics of my personal blog, I have somehow mucked up Scrap Box's blog settings. Please bear with me for a couple of days while I now fix it.

The red, white and greens just shouts simple, bold, and clean to me.

And my take on the colours turned out like this......
So come join us and give this a go and post your LO take in under the colour inspiration section in our gallery. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Happy Happy Valentines Day...

I have a couple of things to share with you today. A layout, a favor box and a card.

I was inspired to get waaaaay out of my comfort zone and create a round layout. I think that this is only the second one in the years that I have been scrap-booking that I have done. With really pleasing results I think. It is literally made up from bits and pieces from Fancy Pants, KaiserCRAFT, Prima, Heidi Swapp, and Basic Grey. Plus my favourite product at the moment...Glimmer Mist.A little acetate and cardstock favor box, all the colours of romance. I have used 'Handpainted' from Basic Grey's Bittersweet.A sweet baby card...I think that this is the first EVER!! baby card that I have made. Again I have used paper from Bittersweet as well as Imaginisce, rub-on from Sugared, and a large Bazzill Bling Blossom.

And while we are all celebrating the day of Love, please, please bear a thought for those across the Tassie in Victoria. Valentines Day is probably the last thing on their minds.

A Girl and Her Bag...

The lovely Melissa Phillips is running a challenge at the moment inspired by a bag. I am not sure whether the challenge is open to international crafters. But I was inspired by the bag so much that I just had to do it anyway.

So to, my card that is created from it.

I have used Autumn Leaves paper from the French Twist range, as it had all the colours I need with hunting around too much. A die-cut from the Katlin range by Crate Paper, a Cosmo Cricket ru-bon, right down to the black and white dot ribbon.

Multiple Posts Today...

Hope everyone is having a creative Waitangi Weekend. I know that I managed to get stuck into some serious craft yesterday. So I will have a couple of posts today. So grab a coffee (too early for the wine yet) sit back and enjoy.

These first two cards are just a simple card from green and white. I have used paper from the Urban Prairie range, plus cardstock in Parakeet and Eggshell. Simplistic yet effective.

This one I have made by embossing the front of the card, then inking over it. The papers are from KaiserCRAFT. The butterfly is an image from one of the new paper ranges from KaiserCraft that is released this month.

And this last one...well, from scraps really. Plus Inkadinkado Birthday Party Fun stamp set. I just love this stamp set, which is available from the store

new feb challenge is up

Can you believe it, we are into the second month of 2009 OmG where did Jan go?

So now that things are settling back to normal for most (and school starts on Tues woohoo), its time for the sketch challenges to start. I had a mini panic attack when I realised its was me needing to set it LOL but have been looking around some blogs and came across the beautiful and talented Jolene Pienaar and her sketches blog http://sketches-by-jolene.blogspot.com/

and found this one which I loved and have set for a good wee challenge for us.
I whipped up this LO (Using the Eva range of Basic Grey PP's) of the sketch last night too and took a quick snap of it this morning...sorry in advance for terrible picture but lightening is not the best this morning in sunny old Dunedin LOL
So if you haven't dusted of the scrap table yet with the colour inspirations set below, do dust them now and join in the fun. Come post into the gallery to show us all.
Happy scrapping all
Lynne
